Donate food

Our foodbank relies on your support

King’s Lynn Foodbank relies heavily on food donations from the public.  These donations help us provide balanced and nutritious three-day food supplies to those in need. In 2022, we provided 53,514 meals, including 20,520 meals for children.  Your food donations are crucial in helping us feed those who are referred to us.

We use BankTheFood to keep you updated on the items we’re running low on.  It’s a great app; you only need to download it and select King’s Lynn Foodbank as preferred.  You can also activate notifications which means you’ll get a reminder when you visit the supermarket, so you never forget to donate.

Our shopping list on the right shows the food items that we need right now.

Local supermarkets host a permanent donation point where people can leave the donations they purchase during their visit.  If you have purchased your donation in a different store, please mark your donation clearly so that we can record the donation weights correctly.  Here’s a list of all the donation points in King’s Lynn:

There are similar donation bags for different charities.  If you want your donations to come to us, please take care to choose the right bag for King’s Lynn Foodbank, rather than Reffley or other charities.

We always welcome donations of in-date food and promise to use them to provide help to people in crisis.  Occasionally we send food to other nearby foodbanks to support their work particularly if they experience shortages.  This ensures your donations go to help people not just in King’s Lynn, but wherever they are in the UK.

Please contact us if you have any questions about donating food.
