The community organisations below can all issue food vouchers for our food bank and will make sure you are connected to wider support.
Broadland Housing
What happens next:
The referral agency will discuss your situation and supply you with a foodbank voucher where appropriate. They may also be able to offer you other support or help or refer you to other helpful organisations.
Broadland Housing Tenancy Support team can help you to manage your Broadland tenancy through support with budgetting, maintaining your home, or finding ways to save energy.
Contact the Tenancy Support team to be assessed for a food voucher.
Change, Grow, Live
What happens next:
If you are already receiving support from CGL, you can discuss your situation and they can supply you with a foodbank voucher where appropriate. They may also be able to offer you other support or help or refer you to other helpful organisations.
King's Lynn Alcohol & Drug Behaviour Change Service offers support to anyone struggling with drugs and alcohol to make positive changes in their life.
They can help people to break free from harmful patterns of behaviour, and feel happier and healthier,
Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB)
What happens next:
They will be able to assess your need and provide you with a foodbank voucher alongside advice which may help to resolve the cause of your crisis.
Norfolk Citizens Advice offers free, confidential, and impartial advice to anyone in the county. They are a local charity providing high-quality, accredited advice on a broad range of issues.
Family Hub Adviceline
What happens next:
The Family Hub will talk through what is going on for you at the moment and supply you with a food bank voucher where appropriate.
The Family Hub can provide support to parents and carers of children and young people from conception up to 19 years old (or 25 for those with special educational needs and/or disabilities).
Freebridge Housing
What happens next:
The referral agency will discuss your situation and supply you with a foodbank voucher where appropriate. They may also be able to offer you other support or help or refer you to other helpful organisations.
If you live in a property owned by Freebridge Housing Association, contact your Housing Support Officer for help with obtaining a food voucher.
Hanseatic Union
What happens next:
The referral agency will discuss you situation and supply you with a food bank voucher where appropriate. They may also be able to offer you other support or help or refer you to other helpful organisations.
The Hanseatic Union provide support on a wide range of issues including benefits, employment support, immigration, and learning English. They help the community in King's Lynn and West Norfolk to find the support they need.
Help Through Hardship
What happens next:
They’ll ask about your circumstances so they can understand your situation and support your wellbeing. They can help you get the support you need if you’re struggling to afford essentials like food, heating and toiletries. If you, or someone you know, is struggling with money, they can help.
The Help through Hardship helpline is a free phone service delivered in partnership with Citizens Advice. The friendly advisers have already helped thousands of people who are worried about money and are there to help you access the support you need.
The advisers can help you get the support you need if you’re struggling to afford essentials like food, heating and toiletries. They can advise which social security payments you’re entitled to, guide you through any claims, and help you with emergency issues.
